Reports for Washington County corn harvests are above the 10-year average of 163 bushels per acre. According to Meaghan Anderson Field Agronomist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, farmers are reporting good corn yields of 180 or more bushels per acre.
Farmers in the area are reporting soybean yields of 55 or more bushels per acre. The highest yield in the last 10 years was in 2011 with an average of 56 bushels per acre.
