Three area teams and a handful of individuals qualified for the state cross country meet last night. The Mid-Prairie boys’ team and the Mid-Prairie girls’ team will both be making the trip to state. Both teams won their district titles at Columbus Junction. The Wapello boys’ team placed third in the district meet, advancing to the final meet of the season.
In addition, Highland’s Kieffer Sexton, Josh Keller of Columbus Junction and a pair of runners from Winfield-Mt. Union, Johnathon Quinn and Gavin Bencze qualified for the state meet with their individual performances.
