Work is underway on W38, or Gingko Avenue, near Wellman. The Washington County Engineer’s office announced the work is being done from Highway 92 to the Wellman city limits. Crews with Norris Asphalt Paving Company of Ottumwa are repair the shoulders of the road to improve the safety for the public. The work is being done with flaggers and pilot cars to direct traffic through the work zone and is expected to last about two weeks, depending on weather.

Drivers are reminded to use caution in the nine-mile work zone and may want to find alternate routes.
