The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team saw their River Valley Conference tournament run come to an end Thursday night in second round action as they fell to #2 in class 3A West Liberty.
The Golden Hawks advanced through the first round of conference tournament play by splitting their Tuesday matches, falling to North Cedar in straight sets before beating Durant in three games. On Thursday night the Comets ended the Golden Hawks run in straight sets 21-11 and 21-13. Mid-Prairie was led in the match by Jaedynn Evans with eight kills, Clarice Murphy with seven assists and Amanda Miller with eight digs.
With the loss Mid-Prairie stands at the .500 mark 15-15 for the season. The Golden Hawks open up postseason play on Monday, October 26th when they travel to Mediapolis.
