Senator Ted Cruz is seeking the Republican nomination for president and explained why he feels Iowans should caucus for him at an event in Kalona Wednesday morning. In a packed hotel lobby with standing room only, Cruz spoke of what his first day in the White House would like if elected which would include launching an investigation into Planned Parenthood and get rid of the Iranian nuclear deal.
He also spoke in favor of a flat tax, stating he wants to get rid of the IRS and have Americans be able to send in their tax returns on a postcard. The Texas senator is currently sixth in the polls in a field of 14 candidates.
