Washington County has over 560 students involved in 4-H from kindergarten to 12th grade. Amy Green, 4-H coordinator for Washington County, adds the local program was the sixth largest in the state last year.
McKenna Brinning, president of the Prairie Pride 4-H Club and member of state 4-H council, says she’s enjoyed her time in 4-H. She explains her time in 4-H has helped build communication and leadership skills, while helping her decide she wants to study animal science after high school.
For more infromation about 4-H listen to today’s Washington Page with Brinning, and tune in to Tuesday’s Washington Page with Roman Keiffer and Wednesday’s Washington Page Makenzi Marek. To enroll in 4-H contact the Washington County Extension Office.
