On Thursday, October 1st the Iowa Mennonite School cross country teams competed at the Bud Williams Invitational on the campus of West Branch High School.

The boys team championship was won by Urbandale with 30 team points. IMS did not have enough runners to post a team score. IMS was led by Jim Wang in 63rd with his time of 21:24. Jacob Boller and Micah Miller ran in the JV race Thursday night with Boller taking 68th in 21:50 and Miller taking 88th in 24:48.
On the girls side of the event Urbandale made it a sweep, winning the team championship with 22 points. Iowa Mennonite did not have enough runners to post a girls team score. IMS was led by Calli Shaw who took 15th in the girls JV race with a time of 23:47. Mackenzie Gutierrez was 28th in 25:04 and Rachel Geyer 60th in 25:56. IMS Cross Country will next be in action Monday night at the Wellman Golf Course when they host their annual meet.
