After a soggy forecast wiped out the Mid-Prairie cross country team’s first home meet of the season the Hawks are back on the road tonight as a late addition to the field at the Solon Invitational.

The Golden Hawks enter tonight’s competition ranked fourth in class 2A on the boys side and sixth in 2A on the girls side. Mid-Prairie also has five ranked individuals including three boys runners. Luke Sigler is currently 20th in 2A, Floyd Evans is 22nd and Ryan Errthum is 23rd. For the Golden Hawk girls Anna Hostelter is 13th and Maddi Zahradnek is 21st.

Other teams joining the Golden Hawks at Solon include Central Clinton, DeWitt, #9 in 3A Clear Creek Amana, Davenport North, Mount Vernon, North Cedar, North Scott, Northeast Gooselake, #4 in 4A Cedar Rapids Prairie, Tipton, West Liberty, #12 in 2A boys and #4 in 2A girls Williamsburg, and the Solon Spartans. The meet begins this evening at 5:30 in Solon.
