The annual salute to the southeast Iowa pork industry is set for this Saturday. The fifth annual Quad County Pork Fest will be held all day Saturday. One change this year is that the event will be held in downtown Wellman.

Among the many events will be demonstrations by Washington native Chef Ron Hall, Executive Chef at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Hall will be doing cooking demonstrations at 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, sponsored by the Johnson County Pork Producers. The chef will have recipes for a variety of rubs and will show differences between cuts of pork.

KCII will have the Big Red Radio at the event all day.
