Wellman Elementary School is holding a family literacy night later this month. The event is scheduled for September 24th from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A free meal will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. followed by a guest speaker. Bob Kirschbaum will be speaking to parents at the event. Kirschbaum has been in education for 32 years, with 26 of those as an elementary principal. He speaks nationwide at reading and motivational seminars.

Parents can learn tips for reading with your child and activities that reinforce reading skills.
