Fourteen years ago today, two planes brought down the Twin Towers in a terrorist attack in New York City and tonight in Washington area heroes will be honored for all of their service. The second annual Hero Night is being held tonight with local heroes honored at the Washington High School football game at Case Field versus Clear Creek-Amana.
A caravan to honor fire and rescue crews, military personnel, EMTs, ambulance personnel, police officers and the sheriff’s department will travel from Washington High School to Case Field ahead of tonight’s games, starting at about 4:30 p.m. The heroes will be on the field for the National Anthem and will be recognized at half time.
