Washington received about a tenth of an inch of rain Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, in the first 23 days of August Washington has observed 3.34 inches of precipitation, on par with the normal 3.31 inches. Temperatures have also been close to normal so far this month, with the average temperature at 72.7 degrees, while the normal is 73 degrees.

So far this year, Washington has recorded 27.53 inches of precipitation, about two and a half inches above normal. Sunny skies with highs in the 70s are forecast for this week, listen to KCII for weather updates.
