The only senior on this year’s Washington Demon baseball team (6-20 overall) finished his high school baseball career among the best players in the Southeast Conference.

Blake Weidman was chosen as a first team All-Southeast Conference player by the coaches of the league. Weidman led Washington in a number of offensive categories this past season, including slugging percentage (.488), doubles (10), and tied for the team lead in runs scored (19) and runs batted in (17). Weidman plans to continue his baseball career at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville next season. The Pioneers are coming off a landmark season, finishing 21-19 overall and 12-12 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Sophomores Dakota Kron and Ryan Loy were selected to the second team All-Southeast Conference. Kron tied Weidman for the team lead in runs batted in (17). He was also third on the team in runs scored (13) and total hits (25). Loy finished the season second on the team in hits (27), runs batted in (10) and stolen bases (8).

Junior Tanner Renoux and sophomore Michael Gier were each picked as All-Southeast Conference honorable mention selections.

Washington finished the 2015 season 6-20 overall, including a 4-10 Southeast Conference record.
