Washington has received more than double the normal amount of precipitation the first 10 days of July. According to the National Weather Service, Washington has observed 2.75 inches of rain, above the normal 1.3 inches. The record high rainfall for that same time period was 6.32 inches set in 1993. So far this year 20.11 inches of precipitation has been observed, about 1.5 inches above normal.
