Class 2A Region 6

Iowa City Regina shuts out Columbus, 10-0

-The game last three innings
-Regina has now won 12 of their last 16 games.
-Columbus ends their season with a 10-9 overall record.

No. 9 Wapello upends Lisbon, 7-3

-Wapello’s Kristen Keen went two for two at the plate, smashing two home runs, driving in four runs, and scoring three more in the victory.
-Wapello improves to 24-6 and advances to play the Iowa City Regina Regals (21-14) tomorrow evening in Iowa City.

No. 2 Eddyville-Blakesburg defeats Pekin, 5-1

-It was the 30th victory of the season for the Rockets, improving their record to 30-6.
-Pekin ends their season with a 7-16 overall mark.

Class 1A Region 5

Sigourney cruises past Moulten-Udell, 13-0

-The game last three innings.
-Sigourney’s Brooke Waechter went three for three at the plate, recording two triples and a team-leading five runs batted in for the victory.
-The win improves Sigourney’s overall record to 25-11 and they advance to the semifinal round versus North Mahaska (14-18 overall).

No. 2 New London blanks the Keota Eagles, 13-0.

-The game lasted just three innings, improving New London’s record to 28-2.
-Keota ends the season with a 4-20 overall record.
