In search of their first winning streak of the season, the Washington Demon softball team (6-26 overall) wrap up their regular season slate tonight. The Demons welcome the Central Lee Hawks (11-18 overall) to Washington’s softball complex for a non-conference tilt.

Washington was last on field Friday evening, hosting the Williamsburg Raiders (12-18 overall) in a non-conference clash. The Demons erased two different deficits in the game, winning 5-4 in walk off fashion. Freshman Megan Mitchell reached base safely three times on Friday night, collecting two singles, scoring two runs and forcing a walk in the victory. Four of Washington’s six victories have been earned since June 27.

The Central Lee Hawks enters the final week of the regular season on a three-game skid. The Hawks wrap up the regular season with a pair of Southeast Conference foes, facing Washington tonight and ending the season against the Fairfield Trojans (24-10 overall) on Tuesday.

First pitch of tonight’s non-conference game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Washington’s softball complex.
