Mid-Prairie School District is moving forward with the construction of an indoor practice facility. According to superintendent Mark Schneider, the group coordinating the fundraising and design of the building gave a presentation at this week’s board meeting. Schneider says 90 percent of the $425,000 needed to build and furnish the facility north of the high school has been raised. The 10 percent left to raise will go towards equipment, as all the money needed to construct the building is in place.

The effort to build a new facility, led by parents who saw a need in the district for more gym space, began last year. Bids for the project will be opened July 13th.
