A musical comedy titled 70, Girls, 70 is returning to the Washington Community Center stage tonight and Sunday afternoon. Eighteen local actors are performing the show. Nancy Salemink who plays Ida, the characters’ ringleader, shares the show is about a group of people who live in a retirement hotel which is going to be sold and they come up with a way to buy the building by going beyond the law.
Fellow cast member Regina Schantz encourages the community to attend, she says, “Even though it may not be one you’re familiar with, everyone is still going to enjoy it. The acting, the costumes, the songs, it’s really a fun event for the family.”
Tickets can be purchased in advance by phone or online. The musical will be performed tonight at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. and next Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. For the full interview click here.
