An event that gives people a chance to enjoy a cup of tea and each others company is being held this weekend at the Kalona Historical Village. The Annual Tea begins at 3 p.m. with a performance from Washington group Just Us Girls.
According to Nancy Roth, when she started at the village nine years ago, the Annual Tea was already an established tradition. She explains there’s always live entertainment, finger foods, fellowship, and some type of tea. Roth adds attendees can also check out the village’s current quilt display, Marilyn’s Flower Garden, a collection of floral quilts.
Tickets can be purchased at the Historical Village Visitors Center during business hours. Reservations can be made by calling 656-3232.
