River levels in the area have fallen. Local river levels had risen following the weekend’s rain. At this time, the English River at Kalona is at 6.47 feet, well below the 14 foot flood stage. The Iowa River at Lone Tree is about six feet below flood stage, as is the Iowa River at Columbus Junction.

The North Skunk River at Sigourney has fallen two feet since Tuesday morning, it is now at 7.83 feet, while flood stage is 16 feet.
