Winfields Twin Lakes Golf Course will be the site for one of the regional girls’ golf tournaments today. Teams a part of the Class 1 Region 3 meet includes Winfield- Mt. Union, Holy Trinity Catholic, Iowa Valley, Keota, Lone Tree, New London and Van Buren.

Winfield- Mt. Union comes in as the second best team in the district with a nine hole average of 203.67 strokes per nine holes. New London has the best team of the meet with 183.33 strokes per nine holes.

Two athletes are tied for the lowest individual score for nine holes going into this meet. Senior Grace Edwards of Winfield- Mt. Union and New London’s junior Emma Pry each average 41.67 strokes per nine holes.

The meet tees off today at the Twin Lakes Golf Course in Winfield.
