The Kalona Historical Society is giving a presentation at the Louisa County Historical Society’s quilt show. The two day Quilts & Needlework of Louisa County show begins this afternoon. Bill Turner, an award winning fiber artist and Muscatine native, will be giving a presentation at 2 p.m. The show continues tomorrow where Nancy Roth with the Kalona Historical Society will discuss their coverlets display and their new method of storing their quilts. Roth adds she’ll also talk about the weavers who settled in the Kalona area. Her presentation begins at 10:30 a.m. The show is being held at the historical society museum on Highway 61 in Wapello.
