The month of April couldn’t have gone much better on the golf course for Washington Alumni Alex Thode. The Lewis University junior participated in nine rounds of golf during the fourth month of the year, posting an average of 72.67 strokes per 18 holes.

The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) named Thode the GLVC’s Men’s Golf Player of the Month, earning the honor through a vote of the league’s coaches. Thode recorded three top 10 individual finishes in April, including winning the 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Individual Golf Championship on April 21. He won the event after shooting a two under 214 for the tournament, winning the event by a conference record nine strokes.
