A Washington McDonald’s manager has received an award presented to only the top five percent of a region. Kate Straughter was honored by the McDonald’s Corporation as a 2014 Outstanding General Manager. Jordan Willison with the company told KCII News the selection process includes meeting criteria including speed of service, food quality, cleanliness and customer satisfaction. Willison adds they are proud of Straughter’s work in Washington.

This operating region has over 800 restaurants across the Midwest. Straughter is a Washington native and graduate of Washington High School.
