The City of Riverside is applying for a grant to pave a trail that would make the trip to and from school safer for students. According to City Administrator Rusty Rogerson, the proposed trail would be located along Ella Street, from Highway 22 to Blackberry Avenue near Riverside Elementary School. He says there isn’t a sidewalk in that area for students who walk to school. This project would be part of the construction on Ella Street slated to begin later this year.  The application was submitted this week for the Washington County Riverboat Foundation’s next round of grants.
