A semi tractor trailer and a minivan collided in downtown Washington at approximately 1:12 p.m. Thursday. The wreck happened on 2nd Avenue, also Highway 92, between East Jefferson Street and Washington Street. One person was transported from the scene by ambulance.

Sherry Streat of Washington and Patrick Small of Indiana were the two drivers involved. Over $1,500 in damages was reported. The accident blocked three lanes of traffic for some time. Small was cited for improper use of lanes and improper turn.

Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Washington Police, Washington Fire, Washington Rescue, and Washington County Ambulance were on scene.
