
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys’ (1-18) and girls’ basketball teams (13-6) will travel to Wilton for a River Valley Conference battle against the Beavers.
The Mid-Prairie girls’ played Wilton (2-16) earlier in the year winning with a score of 60-26. The Lady Hawks are coming into this match up averaging 46.8 points per game. They are led on offense by senior Taylor Kurtz who had her best game of the season in the victory over Monicello (48-38) getting a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The Mid-Prairie boys’ will look to get their second win of the season going against Wilton (10-8). Mid-Prairie lost to the Beavers earlier in the season with a score of 59-37. The Golden Hawks have struggled on offense scoring an average of just 24.3 points their past three games.
The competition will start at 6 p.m. with the girls’ game, in Wilton, followed by the boys’ game.
