City of Riverside and Riverside Fire Department representatives will meet for a work session tonight. According to City Administrator Rusty Rogerson, they’ll discuss forming 28-E agreements for fire protection with the townships served by the Riverside Fire Department.

Rogerson says tax dollars from those townships currently go directly to the fire department.

He adds money that goes to the fire department needs to go through the city first so it can be audited by the state.
