The Mid Prairie girls basketball team is 6-4 this season after winning back-to-back games Friday and Saturday.
The Lady Hawks defeated Durant-Bennett 47-42 and Bellevue 51-40, but they will have a tough test against undefeated Iowa City Regina tonight.
One reason the Lady Hawks have had success the past two games has been the play of senior Taylor Kurtz. She has had 11.5 points on average over the last two games. The defense has also stepped up only giving up 42 points and 40 points in their last two contests. They will need a strong defensive performance from their team tonight as Iowa City Regina averages 60.3 points per game.
The game will take place at Iowa City Regina at 6 p.m. tonight. You can catch the game live on the air here on KCII with the Washington Hy-Vee pregame show starting at 5:45 p.m. on AM1380, FM102.5 and on KCIIradio.com.
