It seems like months have passed since the Demons scored 22 points in their opening quarter of the season on December 2nd against the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks. As you heard on AM and FM KCII and KCIIRadio.com, Washington hosted and came up short against the Marion Indians in the final game of the 2014 calendar year.

Washington trailed throughout the game and didn’t score double digit in points in any quarter on their way to a 51-31 setback. Junior Derek Anding led the Demons in scoring for a fifth straight game, finishing the game with 11 points.

This is the second game in a row the Demons have been held under 40 points. The first four games of the season the Demons averaged 54.25 points per game. Last night was also the third time this season the Demons got zero points from their bench.

The loss drops Washington to 1-5 on the season and 0-1 in conference. The Demons return to the floor on January 3, 2015, against the Iowa Mennonite School.
