A low-cost spay and neuter clinic is available for all of Eastern Iowa for cats, dogs and rabbits has a shuttle from Washington. PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington is partnering with the Iowa Humane Alliance and helping the cause by transporting animals for the service from Washington to the clinic in Cedar Rapids. Amber Talbot, Director of PAWS and More, explains animals are dropped off at PAWS and More the morning of and then picked up the following day. The next surgery day is Monday, December 22nd.
Talbot adds the program has been able to help 50 animals locally and over 10,000 in the region, which helps lower the homeless pet population. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
