The Iowa Mennonite School girl’s basketball team had a home game last night against the undefeated Highland Huskies. The game was heard on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and on KCIIradio.com. It was a tough game for IMS as they couldn’t get much going on offense throughout the game losing with a score of 62-26. IMS got to a slow start only scoring 12 points in the first half. The half time score would be 35-12.
Highland’s leading scorer was Chelsey Lampe with 17 points. IMS’s leading scorers were Riley Schmider and Cassidy Bontrager with six points each.
IMS will go 0-4 in the season and will stay at home on Friday night as they host Columbus Junction. Highland is off to a 5-0 start and will look to stay unbeaten as they travel to Pekin Friday .
