The round barn on the Washington County Fairgrounds and five homes are decorated for the holiday season and will be open for viewing this weekend as part of the Candlelight Tour of Homes in Washington. Each year the Washington Chamber of Commerce holds the event to showcase the season locally.

Director of the Chamber, Michelle Redlinger, explains there is a variety of homes on the tour from an early 1900’s American Foursquare to homes built in the last three decades with recent renovations. Also, the round barn will be decorated by the fair board and 4-H members.

The event raises funds to pay for having the white lights outline the buildings in downtown Washington. The tour is tomorrow from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door and there is a shuttle option for transportation.

Also, the Big Red Radio will be in attendance broadcasting live and collecting items for the 12th Annual KCII Caring Christmas Food Drive. For more information about the event listen to today’s Washington Page and for more ticket information click here.
