Rental housing inspections are now part of the City of Washington’s code. The third and final reading of chapter 147 Rental Housing Regulatory and Inspection Program was approved on a five to one vote at last night’s city council meeting. With the program, rental housing properties must be registered with the city annually and inspections will be conducted on units every three years. There will not be any inspections until July 1st, 2015.
