The Pekin Panthers football team was  in action last night, trying to secure a Dome berth in the Class A playoff bracket.

The Panthers welcomed in the Glad-Brook Reinbeck Rebels to town for a quarterfinal matchup. The Rebels defense shut down the Panther’s recently surging offense in a 28-6 victory.

The win advances Glad-Brook Reinbeck into the semifinals at the UNI Dome next Friday against Denver. Pekin ends their 2014 season with a record of 11-1.
