With Election Day less than a week away, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad visited supporters in Washington yesterday. Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds spoke at the Coffee Corner Wednesday morning. Branstad spoke of what has been done in the current term from cutting taxes, to healthiest state initiatives to setting a two-year budget. Branstad is seeking re-election and if elected it will be his sixth term as governor of Iowa. Also, he will become the longest serving governor.
Other Republican candidates in attendance included Mike Moore for State Senate, Mariannette Miller-Meeks for U.S. Congress, Jarad Klein for State House, and Mary Mosiman for State Auditor. For photos from the event visit KCII Radio’s Facebook page.
