The Washington Kirkwood Regional Center has held classes for over a month now and is opening its doors for its grand opening in two weeks. Tera Pickens, Director of the Regional Center, states the grand opening and open house will be held October 9th from 3 to 6 p.m. with a short program and remarks from the college’s president at 3:30 p.m. She adds there will be demonstrations going on in the classrooms and the labs will be open. The event is open to the public and is a chance for area students to consider taking courses at the regional center.
