The Columbus Junction cross country team headed North last night to run at the Bob Brown invite in Iowa City.

The Wildcats had two top 20 finishes on their boys’ side from Josh Keller and Adrian Santos. Keller finished 16th overall with a time of 19:09, while Santos was 20th at 19:24. Other boys who ran were Bryce Carrier in 119th in 24.39 and Ben Smith finished 155th in 28:43.

On the girls side it was Claire Hamilton who finished first for the Wildcats in a time of 20:30, good for 67th place. Jessica Carpenter finished in 71st in 20:51, Ashley Canny finished 72nd in 20:54, Yesica Ramirez was 111th in 22:27, and Jessica Cruz was 117th in 23:31.

The boys didn’t score as a team, but the girls finished 12th with 294 points. Monticello won the meet with 56 points.
