Starting today the Washington Public Library has new hours of operation. Debbie Stanton, director of the library, explains why the hours have changed so the hours will be consistent throughout the year, there will no longer be seasonal hours during the summer. The change comes after a community survey was held and book check outs and door counts were analyzed.
The library is now open an horu earlier with the building open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The library remains closed on Sundays. For more information on the change and programs at the library click here.
