The Washington volleyball program returns this year with their second year head coach Julianna Berg.

The Demons finished 5-25 last year and lose quite a few seniors, but also bring back some key players from last year for their second year with Berg.

Leading attacker Amber Salow returns with 69 kills, while Sydney Hoffman comes back as last years No. 3 attack with 59 kills. Washington will also bring back their setter in Rachael Hall who led the team with 118 assists, and backup setter Emma Stout who had 52 assists. defensively, Lauren Swan returns with her team leading 187 digs last year. The Demons rotation will still need some role players to fill in the open few spots on the team this year, but with the returning players all filling key roles, Washington should see more wins in the win column.

Berg said her returning girls are all very excited for the upcoming season, and with some summer workouts, they are way ahead of where they were last year.

The Demons get their first competition on August 30th in a tournament, and will do another tournament September 2nd, before coming home and hosting Mt. Pleasant in the conference opener on September 9th.

The Demons will take on county rival Mid-Prairie on September 18th, host an eight team tournament October 11th, and play the first round of regionals on October 27th.
