All mandatory evacuation orders in Johnson County have officially been lifted. Earlier this month, a number or properties were put under mandatory evacuation orders due to flooding. Residents are advised to take caution upon reentering flooded buildings, some utilities may not be turned on and may need to be inspected before they can be deemed habitable again. Questions regarding inspections should be directed to the Johnson County Planning and Zoning Administrator, Rick Dvorak at 319-356-6083 or rdvorak@co.johnson.ia.us.
