The Highland baseball team won their first round of district play last night, beating Springville 4-2.

Ben Bean helped out at the plate with a single and a triple, Tanner Vonnahme added a single and a double, and Vonnahme, Josh Brase and Billy Burton all added RBI’s.

Jacob Wilson threw 5 1/3 innings while giving up four hits, a run but fanning seven and walking four. Chase Rath threw his fifth save of the year in the win.

Highland moves on to play host school Lisbon on Thursday at 7.
