Three contested races in Washington County were watched as results came in last night at the Washington County Courthouse. On the Republican ballot, former Assistant County Attorney Shawn Showers won with 1,181 votes over imcumbent County Attorney Larry Brock. Showers received nearly 75% of the vote, after results were in he told KCII News he is excited and overwhelmed by the support.
Also on the Republican ticket, Abe Miller was nominated for the District 3 Supervisor. Miller won with 192 votes while Scott Davis received 175.
On the Democratic side, Keith Cutkomp won by four votes over Ceanne Alvine for District 3 Supervisor. The Auditor’s office reported seven ballots are withstanding and official results will be reported after the ballots are canvassed.
