Ronald Eugene “Ron” Bennett, age 62, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday at his residence in Washington following a battle with cancer. Celebration of life services will held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Washington with Andrew Zuehlke officiating. Visitation will begin noon Tuesday at the First Baptist Church where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County, the Salvation Army or the First Baptist Church Summer Youth Camp Fund.
