The Demon boys soccer team plays the second round of the playoffs tonight when they travel down to Fairfield.

Washington split with Fairfield during the conference season, beating them 10-2 in their first meeting, and then losing 3-2 in the second.

Washington engineered an overtime comeback victory against Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday to get the win and move on, so it will be a battle of a team with the taste of victory vs. the rested.

Washington looks to Mason Quigley and Joe Smith up front to score, and Chris Avila to anchor the back end and prevent as much as he can. Jacob Baughman had a miscue in net against Mt. Pleasant that he was not happy about, but tonight is a bigger game that he will need to be great in.

Fairfield hasn’t played since last Friday and look to Solomon Constant who has 25 goals this season. Past him, Fairfield has just single digit goals.

Tonight’s game is at Fairfield with a 6 P.M. start time.
