The Columbus Junction City Council will decide how to transfer ownership of a pond to the golf course tonight. According to City Clerk Julie Heindel, the city inherited Roundy pond after a resident passed away. That resident wanted to donate the pond to Cedarcrest Golf Course, but wasn’t able to make those arrangements before his passing. The city council is now working to transfer ownership to the golf club. The route the city will take to accomplish that is going to be decided by the city council at tonight’s meeting following a public hearing on the topic.
