Administrators in the Washington Community School Districted have been selected for AEA 10 School Administrator of Iowa Awards. Curriculum Coordinator and Assure Center Principal Veta Thode was named Area 10 Central Office Employee of the Year. Washington Middle School Principal Curt Mayer was selected as the Area 10 Middle School Principal of the Year.

AEA 10 is the Grant Wood Area Education Agency, which serves school districts in Washington, Johnson, Iowa, Cedar, Jones, Linn and Benton counties.

Superintendent Mike Jorgensen announced both will be considered now for the state of Iowa award, winners of which will be announced prior to the School Administrators of Iowa state conference in August.
