The Washington, Winfield-Mt. Union, Lone Tree and Columbus Junction boys track and field teams were at Wapello last night, and here are the top results from each school.

Washington had Jacob Green finish as runner-up in the 800 meter run in 2:12.37, and Alex Coker was third in the 100 meter dash in 11.14.

Lone Tree’s top result was from Ross Swinton finishing second in the 1600 meter run in 5:05, and their 4×200 meter relay team was second in 1:36.19 with a team of Jared Hudson, Nick Viner, Travis Gillham and Jovonte Squires.

Winfield-Mt. Union had champions in the shot put with Kyle Davis throwing 45’1.5”, the 4×400 meter relay with Kyler Smith, Bryce Robinson, Levi Giese and Max Fricke in a time of 3:38.27, and Fricke won the 400 meter dash in 52.79.

Columbus Junction best finishes were from second place Ethan Timmerman in the shot put with a throw of 44’1”, Ricky Rivers in the long jump finishing second with a jump of 20’1.5”, and Mauricio Ramirez finishing second in the 200 meter dash in 23.56.

WMU finished fouth with 44 points, Lone Tree was sixth with 37.5 points, Columbus was ninth with 33 points and Washington was 11th with 17 points. West Burlington- Notre Dame won the meet with 108 points.
