The latest round of the Washington County rival match on the girls soccer pitch went to the Washington Demons as they beat the Golden Hawks 1-0. Playing for the second night in a row Mid-Prairie created more chances in their second game of the season, putting 12 shots on goal but the Demon defense and Washington goal keeper Stephanie Evans rose to the occasion posting the shut out. The Demons got the lone tally of the match in the final 10 minutes and locked things down defensively to take the win. Mid-Prairie is now 0-2 on the season and will next be in action at West Liberty Thursday. The Demons are 1-0 on the early season and will travel to Mediapolis Thursday.
