A West Chester woman is awaiting her sentence following this week’s decision by a Washington County jury. 33-year-old Amy Erin Booth was convicted of possession of pseudoephedrine with the intent that it be used to manufacture methamphetamine yesterday.
The conviction stems from Booth’s involvement in a meth manufacturing operation led by Jeffrey Marie and Mike Miller at 322 North D Avenue in Washington. An investigation determined Booth purchased pseudoephedrine six times between September of 2012 and February of last year. Her sentencing hearing for the class b felony, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $7,500 fine, is set for May 23rd.
The investigation was conducted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Washington Police Department.
